Sugar Creek Hollow......

Afternoon fellow bloggers and welcome to a new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this fortnight is ........Tag your it, so don't forget that we want to see your Shabby Chic/Vintage style projects only for this one.
I have used a pocket tag from the Femme Fatale CD at Kraftyhands, love the image and you can also pop something extra inside the pocket.  I've used a part of a doily behind the flowers and then added a stick pin and pearls to finish off.

I'm going back to work on Monday which will seem very strange after
being off for five weeks, I've still got to see the consultant on Wednesday
about my Kidney Stone and I'm still being monitored for my liver function as its still icky,
can't believe that never having drunk I could be getting liver disease.
.......might as well start having a tipple!!
Have a great weekend

Fingers and thumbs........

Afternoon to you all hope you are having a relaxing Bank Holiday, mind you the weather is pants, such a grey rainy day, mind you I managed to finish this Lay Out this morning, I've been working on it for the past two days and I'm trying to do a page a month for my daughters wedding album. Sorry there are quite a few  piccies for this post, I was inspired by the sketch over at Scrapology and went over board with the bling.

The flowers are made using the flower stamp set by Heartfelt Creations called Open Vintage floret I didn't use the largest stamp but used the other three sizes as well as the matching dies for the layers, I stamped the flowers on off white card and embossed with Aurora embossing powder and used chipped sapphire distress ink to add colour to the petals. The leaves which is stamp set Open Leaf which I stamped with Memento Paris Dusk ink and again added embossing powder before cutting out.

The edges of the background paper from DCWV I stamped with a Kaisercraft edge stamp, embossed it with sea foam white embossing powder from Wow, I used a French script stamp from Crafty Individuals and stamped with London Fog ink around the edges, I edged the paper with a gold pen afterwards, swiping it over the white embossing as well.

I wish I had laced my daughters dress much earlier than I did as my hands were shaking that much I was literally all fingers and thumbs and struggled to get it done in time.
Thanks for taking a peek

Bo Bunny mini album......

Evening to you all, well it looks like summer has finished although today wasn't too bad, we were hoping to go away for a few days next week but having seen the weather forecast we have decided to wait and go somewhere a smidge warmer later on in the year, mind you looks like we might be getting an ash cloud again real soon. I have finished this mini album for my assistant manager who has been looking after the shop in my absence, she went on a trip to LA earlier on in the year with her mum so I thought I'd make her a mini album to keep me busy whilst I was off recuperating, although it has to be said I haven't done that much crafting, spent far too much time sleeping. I have used a Bo Bunny paper pad 6x6 and some stickers and chip board shapes from the same collection..........C'est la Vie, love this collection, it's so pretty.

Front cover, the doily has been stamped with a script stamp,
the album is full of flaps and pockets so that Terri can add more
photos and there are also journalling spots as well as tags
for her extra journalling.

Have a great Bank Holiday

Feathered Friends......

Afternoon to you all, I thought I would share another card with you that I made using one of the new stamps from Crafty Individuals called CI 416 Feathered Friends, I have had a play with my distress markers again, I'm quite enjoying colouring with these although I am definitely a splodgy painter, I have just brought some new paint brushes so that I can do more detailed colouring.....well that's the idea. I tore around the edges of the image and then embossed with gold, I used the French Script stamp CI 017 on the tag, the word sentiment is from CI 419 Lovely Day stamps by Gio.

Sketch n Stash.....

Morning fellow crafty bloggers, another weekend gone, August is becoming a bit like early winter, the temperature is low and most days it rains.......come on sun please shine again. I am still struggling to get out and about, this op has knocked me more than  I thought it would, I thought I would go to Leicester to check out some new wallpaper, I managed 2 shops and then had to go home as I was feeling really ill. I have no energy and I'm still in pain around my stomach area, I though after 3 weeks I would be back to normal or nearly as good as, I've never sat around or slept so much.

Today sees the start of a new challenge at Sketch n Stash so here is this fortnights sketch.

Prize 4 images

I have used this lovely watering can from Delicious Doodles, which I have coloured in with prismas and used a white gel pen to highlight the petals, the papers are from First Edition called New Bloom.

Sugar Creek Hollow.....

Afternoon all, hope your weekend is going well, such a shame that the sun has disappeared for the past week, I was hoping to sit in the garden and read as my mojo and motivation for crafting has gone out the window, all I seem to do is sleep, I was planning on getting lots of crafting done to pass the time whilst I was off but I have done hardly anything.

Todays card is for the new challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow, the theme this fortnight is.....Lets Celebrate, don't forget we want to see your shabby chic/vintage creations. For my card I have made a mini easel card using a stamp from Creative expressions, which I embossed with Platinum from Wow and then coloured in the image with Promarkers. The die cut is by Marianne Designs and I used liquid pearls to decorate.

Autumn Fashion.......

Afternoon and welcome to my post for the Crafty Individuals challenge, this month the theme is ......Autumn Fashion, I have had a a play with one of the new stamps CI 414 Ladies Day. I have had another go at colouring with the distress markers and have been a bit bolder with the colours I have used, especially for the skin. I used Tuscan Sun glimmer mist on the doily and then stamped with the script stamp CI..... 017 French Script The flowers are from CI...206 Flower Head, which I embossed with gold and then coloured in with distress markers, to make the flowers dimensional just snip down the side of one petal and position one behind the other curling out the edges of the petals. The leaves I die cut and then painted and used a gold pen to highlight.

Just Chillin'.....

Afternoon to all my fellow crafty bloggers, hope you are well and have had a lovely weekend, although a day of rain yesterday sure made it feel like winter, after the Bank holiday I always think that it marks the end of summer, hopefully we will have a lovely autumn to look forward to.
My son took me to the papercraft show at Stoneleigh on Saturday as I still can't drive yet after my op., it was my first proper day out for a fortnight and I was so pooped at the end so I spent Sunday making cards with the free Hunkydory card pack that you get at the show, I have to admit to never making one of these packs up before but I was pleasantly surprised that I could make 12 cards from it......they have certainly topped up my charity cards.

Kraftyhands......

Ooops a bit late posting this today, had to go to the doctors first thing this morning, I have been signed off work for another three weeks, I was expecting to be back sooner than this, but apparently my tummy is still quite swollen, so I need to take things easy to heal a bit quicker.......which is easier said than done when I'm not used to sitting around so much.

For this months challenge at Kraftyhands we have a fabbie sketch for you to follow.

I have used the Dangerous Dinosaurs for this card, the T.Rex has been layered up, the teeth took some cutting. I think I will keep this card for a little monster in our lives as it's his 6th Birthday soon.
........any guesses!!

Have a great week

World War 1

Evening and welcome to my third post of today, I wanted to share with you a card that I have made using the poppy stamp from Kraftyhands, its seems appropriate to share it with you today to Honour and commemorate the start of World War 1, where over a million people lost their lives so that others may live in Peace and freedom.

I stamped the poppy three times and embossed it in gold, then painted using
Twinkle water colour paints. I cut up the image and laid it in a circle
to form a wreath.

We will remember them.
