Today sees the start of a new challenge at Polkadoodles, the theme this week is recycling, I chose to use some acetate packaging that I had saved from ages ago. Lighthouse.........

Morning peeps , things are finally feeling like they are settling down a bit and I can get back to my daily routine just had to add a few other little jobs to it......lol.I managed to dig and weed one side of my mums garden on Tuesday, because believe it or not it didn't rain, trouble is her garden is really big and overgrown at the moment with weeds, mind you Ethan had a brill. time stripped down to his pants and teeshirt filling up a watering can and then watering the slabs of stone so he could then splash in them (hope my daughter doesn't read this or I'll be trouble), he then took to chasing my mum round the garden trying to wet her through.......he suceeded but they both had fun.

Thought I'd share with you a card that I made for my area manager, he wanted a card to celebrate his wifes 40th birthday......and she likes lighthouses.....arggggh.....not something that I had. I was kindly helped out with the lighthouse image and set about layering it up. I coloured the image in with Prismas and then used glossy accents for the background, popped it into the freezer to get the big cracks and then distressed the top with Tea Dye DI to get that aged look......quite effective me thinks.I added little shells and charms to complete.

Ready Teddy Go......

Morning peeps hope you are all well, I can't believe that we are half way through July, I usually go on hoilday the first two weeks in July and I'm sure missing my two weeks of sunshine but we have got to wait until the end of August this year before we have our holls, although the rumour is the weather may improve by the end of this month.....so we'll just have to wait and see.Managed to get to work earlier yesterday so I went for a little shop in Next to buy goodies for my unborn Grandson and a couple of things for Ethan, you soon forget how little they are when you're buying new born clothes......awwww so sweet.

This is a half way reminder for the Ready-Teddy-Go challenge, the theme is Up, Up and Away, for my card I used an image from Cuddly Buddly, coloured in with Prismas, the papers are from First Edition, I made a little pennant for the sentiment using a pearl pin.I used twine for the edges of the image to create a border.

This month we are being sponsered by Mei Flower who have this wonderful goodie bag for our lucky winner.

Afternoon peeps, I seem to keep apologising these days for been a bad blogger but Mum has been up and down and got all mixed up with her medication so me and my sis will have to pop round daily to take her medication to her......starting to feel the stress but I'm optimistic that once we get a routine going things will settle down.So I'm sorry for not getting round many blogs again this week, but crafting is on the back burner at the moment.

On to todays challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow......bit poignant for me this week as the challenge is make a sympathy card.
We have been sponsered by Robyn's Fetish. The winner gets to chose five images as their prize.

I have layered up the flower and coloured in the image with Prisma pencils, the background paper is from Ooh La La Creations and goes perfectly wiyh the image.

The main background I layered and cut down to size using gimp and then I cut out and coloured the victorian lady using Promarkers.....just had to add some sparkle to her dress. I just added a few buttons and a ribbon for extra embelishments to complete the card. The edges have been distressed using Tea Dye distress inks for a more aged look.
